ODD
The project “Odd” was my final project for the Graduate Diploma in UAL Camberwell. This project was an approximation to the idea of personal expression without limits, using visual experiments with the goal of widening our vision of what people can look like. In the development of this project I used sculpture and ceramics, illustration and animation.
The whole process of the project started with the design of little clay body parts. With these pieces you could create endless combinations and characters, playing with both body parts and clothing. I designed some characters and also gave the pieces to different people for them to play and create something. I loved that it was almost another way of drawing, like the pieces were just a medium to create lots of new illustrations.
Using these designs, I experimented with different processes to bring the characters into other mediums like proper ceramics and animation.
